TV SetRumor has it that sometime last year, in an effort to cash in on the reality TV craze, a small television production company came up with a reality show they called "Dread House" that took place somewhere in the Midwest. It was set in an old abandoned mental hospital just outside of Cambridge Minnesota, and an inauspicious number of contestants (13) participated. The cast was totally cut off from the outside world and had to do a series of bizarre and sometimes dangerous stunts in order to progress through the maze-like facility and remain in the game. But something went fiercely wrong with the show and both the contestants and crew started dying in horrific accidents. The production company, a studio called Tomorrow's Talk, panicked and deserted the participants in the mental hospital, and they were never heard from again. The production company is still around today, but you'll find no mention of the failed show on their website or in their records, as it seems they have completely covered up the debacle that was Dread House.

7/25/04 Update: Astute reader Justin points out that there is a website located at www.dreadhouse.com. The site has more information about the story and the author claims to have known someone on the show. Curiouser and curiouser, said Alice.
